Same here. Got my hands on a Pro Desk 490 last week and a Pro Desk 400 this week. I've injected the USB3 drivers into a vanilla boot.wim. I still cannot get my USB keyboard and mouse to work in the boot environment, be that in the black, or blue SS USB slots. After loading the drivers into the library, I chose Class Name = System or Class Name = USB and injected. The latest isub3*.* files are definitely in the library. Is this method sound? I'm doing the above step using WDS, leveraging DISM graphically. Where am I going wrong? On a related issue as with other posters above. I image Windows 7 using a generic, agnostic machine build. I have had issues in the past with the USB 3 Root Hub (isub3hub) driver getting installed i.e. it shows as an undetected device. This for me goes back to the Probook 4540 and Probook 450, so not new. If I change my USB3 driver package group from driver packages matching client hardware to all driver packages in the group, then on the Pro Desk 400, the Root Hub driver is installed but see an exclamation with the device cannot be started. Only when I remove the device AND elect to un-install the device driver under Device Manager, will it then install correctly. I tend to err away from running post-build auto-installs - yes it is ugly! I release Microsoft should really issue generic implementation of USB3 into Windows 7, as it has done with Windows 8, but this is all a bit silly!.
