Mark Mapes Adobe On Location QA Manager I recorded a performance that was around 80 minutes using DV Rack 2.0 HD and a Sony HDR- HC1. The performance appeared to record without incident, resulting in a file of about 17 GB. When I place this (m2t) file on the timeline of Sony Vegas Pro and Sony Vegas 7.0 the program only sees the first 23 minutes of the recording. If I open the DV Rack-created file in a media player (e.g., VLC) it shows the entire 80 minute recording. Has anyone encountered this type of behavior and if so do you have any suggested solutions? I opened the DV Rack-created m2t in several other non- Vegas programs and they too see only 23 minutes of the 80 minute recording, so I think this is a file issue and not something specific to the editing program. I've just gotten On Location and am not seeing the correct timecodes from my footage in FPC. The timecode starts from zero. I'm working with the following. On Location CS4 build 315 FPC Canon XH- G1 - timecode is free-running I've tried generating both.mov and.avi formats - but FPC does not see the correct timecodes in either. The two workarounds I've found so far are to set (reset) the starting timecode of each.
