I have been a fan of Fosgate & Alpine amps for years because of there longevity, but when i bought a Fosgate R1000-1 D and it was DOA, i had to make a choice on a different amp, ive never really been a fan of JBL but when i saw a video Steve Meade did on one i said sure why not! This replaced the Fosgate R500-1 i had and il say this, the Fosgate used to get really hot pushing my single Alpine Type R 12in DVC, this thing is not even heating up, but it beats my 12in sub something hard!
