You can only find the Doppleganger after level 8. Beware, the Doppleganger is extremely powerful. He has all the skills you have, has the exact same HP and SP as you do, but he is 8 levels higher than you and all his stats are higher than yours except for HP and SP. I reccomend you fight him at the end of game when all your characters are at level 50. I also reccomend going to an area where the Lucky Animal Sleipner is located, like Essential Red Plum's Resort. Find Sleipner and kick him. Now wait 10 minutes, don't do anything, don't even touch your controller. When 10 minutes is up, go wander around the field. A red arrow will point towards the Dopplganger when you are near him. A message will appear on screen, then the edge of your screen will be cloudy. Run toward him and activate a fight. Right when you start the battle, Sleipner will come in reduce Doppleganger's Health by half. Now use Beast Awakening, be sure you have Silabus and Piros for this to work effectively. Equip a broadsword and he should go down in no time. However, he is able to cast spells to heal himself, and he is constantly regaining HP ans SP throughout the fight. So, I'm playing the. Hack/ G. U. series all over again because I love the game, and I started off with volume 1 to completely beat it, you know 100%. It's something I've always wanted to do but was too lazy to but now I really want to do this. So I'm playing the game all over and at this point I'm way past end-game and almost completely finished. I only need to complete 3 of the Books of 1000, the Mercenary and the Lucky Animals campaigns, and to defeat Doppelganger. The thing I need help with is the following: I was aiming to complete the Lucky Animal campaign, so the first thing I got done was complete the list of Lucky Animals. After doing this my total Lucky Animals data of them being kicked was about 28. So I need 22 More animals kicked. I went out to the same field of an Area Word that had the Lucky Animal pretty much next to the Warp Gate. I did a back and forth thing until I had kicked it 22 times, went back to the guy and the record didn't go up from 28. At first I thought Well, maybe I can't kick the same animal from the same area word more than once so I went to 22 Random Area Words, kicked 22 Random Lucky Animals. Went back, and it's STILL stuck at 28. No matter how many times I kick a lucky animal the Data wont fill up to 50. It's stuck. Can anyone help me out here please? Or if anything, is it important? Do I get something important out of it if I had it gone up to 50? Like, a stat increasing scroll or something? Or do I get a random item I can get like nothing in Vol.2? Because I just want to be able to finish the game in a 100% way, but I don't know if having this guy stuck at 28/50 would matter towards my goal. 6 years ago.
