Intel video card driver update vaio

System Requirements: Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows 8.1

The Reservation App indicates I have incompatible hardware (ie. Video Card, Printer) and/or software, what should I do? You can check the software developer and hardware vendor for the latest updates before performing the upgrade. Even though you might get this message, you can always run Windows Update after installing Windows 10 and download the latest driver. I recently installed Windows 10 on an HP Elitebook to see how well the most recent Windows 10 build performs. The Elitebook is a fairly recent model notebook which includes an assortment of hardware technologies. Out of the box though I did not get a complete system, for instance the Intel HD Graphics 3000 was not detected and I was instead limited to the Microsoft Basic Display Adapter. Apart from this, I had wi-fi ready, which mean, I could connect to the Internet right away. Installing drivers through Windows Update Windows Update is the premier starting point to resolve most common driver issues you might experience immediately after installing Windows 10. Simply launch it from Start > Settings > Update and Security and click Check for Updates Press Windows key + R Type: wuapp Hit Enter Click Check for updates (make sure you have an active Internet connection). Immediately, Windows Update will detect your system configuration and download all the appropriate drivers for your system. As you can see in the above screenshot, my Intel HD 3000 Graphics was installed automatically. I did not even have to reboot the system. In addition to other hardware components were also detected and installed which includes my LAN adapter and card reader. If you have been playing around with Windows 8 recently and tried installing it on a laptop that has Intel HD graphics, you may have been surprised when you try to boot and end up with a black screen! At least I was! I have a Dell laptop and installing Windows 8 was fine with no problems. Once it rebooted, I was presented with a lovely black screen and nothing else. After playing around a bit, I decided to try a couple of things and eventually got it working, but it took some time! In this post, I’ll walk you through the steps you can take to troubleshoot a black screen with Windows 8. Safe Mode The first thing you can try is Safe Mode in Windows 8. Obviously, it was a graphics card problem and safe mode loads with minimal graphics drivers. You can read my previous post on how to boot Windows 8 into Safe Mode. If you can get into Safe Mode, then you can try and download some different drivers and see if that fixes the problem. If you have a machine like a Dell or HP, try to go to their site and download the latest driver they provide for Intel HD graphics. If you already have the latest driver from the manufacturer’s website and you are still having the same problem, you can try downloading the latest drivers from Intel itself. Connect to External Display If you can’t get into safe mode, you can also try connecting your laptop to an external display via HDMI, VGA, DVI, etc. I tested this out and it works fine. Windows 8 booted with no issues. The laptop screen remained black, but at least I was able to get in and adjust the settings. The other thing you can try is to disable Intel HD Graphics and then try to boot Windows 8. This has fixed the problem for some people. You can do this by going to the Start Screen and start typing Device Manager. This will automatically open the Charms bar and start a search. Now expand Display Adapters and then right-click on Intel HD.
Hi everyone, appreciate any help. Forgetting that I should not have updated directly some intel drivers directly from their page, well I did. I was trying to update the Wi Di driver as it would get disconnected very oftern. But I also updated the wiless interl driver and the intel graphics driver. My notebook is VAIO Z series model VPCZ22 UGX/ N and it continue to work fine, even the Widi started working better. However, next day when I connected the external docking module (the one that has the DVD/ Blue Ray with the n Vidia HD 6650 M graphics card) it will crash and give me a windows blue screen. If I start it with out this external module it will start windows ok. I use system restore to go back before this new driver installation but no luck. It will only crash with the external module so I guess some how the interl graphics driver update affected the n Vidia graphics drivers. Please help me some one. So far that seems to help. Thank you. FYI, the link provided has no actual drivers for Windows 8.1. After calling Sony Support (and a lot of confusion and as well as condescending customer service I was informed that after uninstalling the driver, it would reinstall itself upon restart. I did so, and now it seems to work fine.[ Is it worth mentioning, to pass on somewhere, that this seems like it should have been a simple~30 min fix at most, yet I racked up about 3+ hours with Sony Support, plus one month of waiting, before I got any help? In addition, it seems that the suggestion to reset factory defaults/revert to Windows 8 would have been an excessive waste of time, if I had not refused three times to do so.] Thank you for the help. FYI, after the April 8.1 Update and the recent BIOS update from Sony, I have mariginal improvement, but does not totally fix, the flickering/lost signal issue on external monitors: Before it flickered every 30 seconds; now it seems to flicker less often (maybe every 10 min?) OR occasionaly when the windows key is pressed, when the start button is hovered over, or when scrolling through MS Word, or when multiple windows are rapidly snapped to the edges. I am still inclined to think that would help.but of course we have to wait till Sony releases the drivers. TL; DR: Between the 8.1 update and BIOS update (both from April the flicker issue is better less bad, but still unacceptable. billbrasky66 Emerging Star Posts: 15 Registered: ‎ Options Mark as New Bookmark Subscribe Subscribe to RSS Feed Highlight Print Email to a Friend Report Inappropriate Content ‎ 11:23 AM edited 1 There's another thread here about touchscreen issues on the new Fit 15 A after upgrading to Windows.
Hi, I recently purchased the new Star Wars: Battlefront game ( SO EXCITED) and I tried running it on my computer, but I received a big fat error message that read: Detected Intel driver version.  The recommended driver version is *.*.14.4264.  Please update your drivers at before playing the game. I did a little research and downloaded the Intel Driver Update Utility, but when it tried scanning for available updates for my computer, it said that my computer had a customized integrated graphics card or something along those lines.  My computer is a Sony VAI eries 13.3 laptop, model SVS13122 CXR, and the utility suggested trying to find a driver update from Sony directly.  I used esupport.sony.com but their latest Intel driver version I could find for my model was the.  Is there any way to update it to the version I need to run Battlefront, or am I going to have to go out and buy a new computer?  And is there any chance Sony will provide a newer version of the Intel driver to download?  Thanks! ‎ 11:39 AM edited 1 I have a new (to me) Vaio convertible laptop that won't let me past the opening flashing screen.  It shows the Windows logo, the Fast Access Facial Recognition box, the time and date.  But it just flashes continuallym, then shuts off.  A friend said I might need a new video driver.  But how would I even get that when I can't do anything with it at this point? Hi qw,  You may reinstall Vaio Care and Vaio Update then try again. Make sure the unit is up-to-date by running Windows Update as well.  If you cannot download the drivers and software from e Support website, most likely the issue is about your location.
